ABRAHAM’S BOSOM, HEAVEN, AND HELL

This article is written to explain some important truth from God's Word to help inform people about the truth about God, Heaven, Hell, and Salvation. We need to seek God with all of our hearts and read God's Word, the Bible, to understand the truth. There is a lot of rampant deception spreading through Christianity.

SATAN CANNOT ENTER HEAVEN (But he can stand without the gate)

Many deceptions have been spreading about the Lake of Fire, Hell, Salvation, and God Himself. Let's first look at the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the judgment that shall happen to those whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of Life (see Revelation3:5, Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:7). Heaven is the place where all those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will go. Satan cannot enter God's holy Heaven, where God is worshiped by the believers. Isaiah 66:1 tells us that Heaven is God's throne and Earth is His footstool.

Psalm 5:4: "For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee."

Revelation 21:27

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Satan cannot enter God's Holy place. Satan can stand without the gate where God had listened to the Devil's accusations against believers. Psalm 127:5 says that the righteous man's children "...shall speak with the enemies in the gate." God also speaks with the enemy in the gate of Heaven, not inside Heaven proper.

(In 2 Corinthians 12:2, there are three (3) levels of Heaven mentioned or alluded to. Paul wrote: "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven." [2 Corinthians 12:2]. Satan was cast out of the third heaven where the believers worship God. Jesus saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning. See Luke 10:18.)

Luke 16 speaks of Abraham and Lazarus being able to see the torment of souls in Hell, across a great gulf or chasm. This was a temporary place, located near Hell, but not part of Hell, where Old Testament believers went to stay until Jesus Christ came to preach to them (after He died on the cross and before His resurrection). Again, this was not part of Hell.

1 Peter 3 tells us how Jesus Christ went to preach to the spirits in prison.

1 Peter 3:18-20

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Jesus Christ preached to this same place where true followers of God had gone to wait for the Gospel to come (of salvation through Jesus Christ's atoning blood, which He shed at the cross). Jesus Christ preached this Gospel to those who had obeyed God, but had not yet heard of the Gospel as revealed to the 12 apostles in the New Testament.

EVERLASTING FIRE: WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

Some people believe that souls will be burned up and cease to exist. This contradicts the Bible. Regarding the fire of damnation, Revelation 14 tells us this…

Revelation 14:11

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

2 Thessalonians 1 tells us that Jesus Christ will destroy His enemies with "everlasting destruction"...

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

(Photo: hell fire. Source.)
This destruction is everlasting. Jesus spoke of this in Mark 9...

Mark 9:45-48

45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Jesus repeats this sentence over and over: "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." He is warning people about the reality of eternal torment in eternal flames.

MORE TRUTH ABOUT HELL

We read about Abraham's Bosom in Luke16:19-31. Abraham's Bosom used to be located near Hell under the Earth, but it was not in Hell. As to the location of Hell; Hell is below the Earth.

(Photo: Hell is located in the center of the Earth, in a spiritual realm.
It is a real place of torment. Image source.)
Ezekiel 31:14 tells how the wicked "...are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit." Ezekiel31:18 says that the wicked go to "...the nether parts of the earth..." after they are killed.

Hell is a place of judgment for those who reject God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is eternal and it is torment meant for those who refuse salvation through Jesus Christ and who refuse to serve Him. If their sins are not cleansed by the blood of Jesus, they will remain in their sins and be judged.

Romans 6:23, Romans 6:16, Galatians6:7-8, Revelation 21:7-8, and other passages speak about this.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Galatians 6:7-8

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Revelation 21:7-8

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

In 2 Peter 3:9, we learn that God does not desire for anyone to go to the Lake of Fire or Hell (i.e. Hell is the holding place until the judgment at God's throne in Revelation 20:11-15). That is why God sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins (and mine) on a cross roughly 2,000 years ago. He bled and died for you and me, shedding His precious blood to save you so you can enter Heaven and not face an eternity in torment in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8).

1 Corinthians 15:3-6

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Would you like to find out how to Know God's Name Personally?

IF YOU ARE SEEKING TO KNOW GOD, please read this message.

1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Ephesians 2:8-98 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God loves us so much that He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and shed His precious blood to pay for all of these sins. It is not by any works of ours that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). (See John 3:16; and 1 Corinthians 15:3-5; and Romans5:8-11.)

If you repent (turn away) from your sins (Acts 3:19), looking to God for help; and believe and confess aloud that Christ has paid for all your sins and washed them away (Romans 10:9-10); and have made Him your personal Lord and Savior (again Romans 10:9-10) you are saved.

When you make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, you are choosing to look to Him for help in repenting (turning away) from sins. God will help you to repent from sin as you look to Him and make the choice to do what is right and not what is wrong.

Seek God with all your heart. Seek to know Him and you will (Jeremiah 29:13). God wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us (through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord).

Again, remember to repent whenever you are convicted about sin so that you can grow closer to Jesus Christ as you seek Him. Please also remember, you are not saved by works but by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Repentance is necessary for walking with God and getting close to Him. Willfully refusing to repent (when God convicts you about sin) is hardness of heart (see Hebrews 3).

John 17:3: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
Jeremiah 29:13: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
